Amanda Jenkins

I've been a hairdresser for over 30 years—from starting at Toni & Guy to becoming Global Director of Education for Ecru New York, where I train stylists worldwide. I've developed curriculum that's launched over 100 stylists into the industry, and I still work behind the chair a few days a week in New York City to stay connected to the craft. I started Creatives Counterbalance to fill the void I found as an educator: the industry trains technical skills while completely ignoring the body doing the work. By my twenties, I was already dealing with injuries—even while teaching "stand straight," I didn't understand what it actually takes for the body to do that. We talk about foundation with our technique, but our body is the first foundation. When there's a crack, it weakens everything: our craft and our clients.

Aziza Rasulova

I spent 15 years working across the beauty industry — from barbershops to high-end salons, editorial sets, and celebrity styling. Along the way, I saw talented service providers struggle not because of their skill, but because they lacked the digital tools to grow.
Today, I run a digital marketing agency built specifically for salons, stylists, and service-based businesses. I combine real industry experience with modern marketing strategy to help creatives build visibility, attract the right clients, and grow with confidence.

Nuala Guildea

I help salon professionals become the entrepreneurs and leaders they were always meant to be. I teach the business essentials, leadership skills, and communication tools that help them understand themselves and run their business with clarity, ease, and purpose. My approach guides owners from doing everything alone to leading with heart and direction. With more than 30 years in the industry, plus my work with Empowered Salon Leaders, I understand exactly what beauty professionals need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. I believe the future of beauty is built on collaboration, and my passion is helping artists confidently cross the bridge from technician to entrepreneur—without doing it alone..

Ben Camagna

is the founder of Umcabe, a capture company that helps hairdressers document their craft with clarity and intention. With 18 years behind the chair and still serving guests three days a week, Ben understands what it takes to build a body of work worth sharing. As a former Education Director for multi-unit salons, he spent a decade developing curriculum and training systems—experience he now brings to teaching hairdressers how to use photography and video to tell their story, attract the right clients, and elevate their brand.
